Dr. Pradeep Sen Wins 2009 NSF CAREER Award

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has just announced that ECE Assistant Professor Pradeep Sen is the recipient of a 2009 CAREER award. Dr. Sen's proposal, "CAREER: A Framework for Sparse Signal Reconstruction for Computer Graphics," aims to develop the mathematical foundations for exploiting sparse signal representation in order to solve problems in rendering and light transport acquisition for computer graphics. The $495,000 award is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2009.

Dr. Sen and Dr. Yasamin Mostofi, whose award also begins on June 1, are the first two professors in ECE to win the prestigious CAREER award this year.
